Who says you can’t wear your dress again?

Catherine, Kaye, Melody, and Heidi are all cousins that purchased their dresses at Our Shop in Stillwater over the span of eight years. They thought it would be fun to get an image of them in their dresses all together and here’s how it turned out. Nice job getting in “dress shape” again, ladies! Three of the four dresses are Justin Alexander.

Wedding dates: Sisters Catherine (06-05-04) and Melody (09-05-10) and sisters Kaye (???) and Heidi (10-15-11). We had the privilege of shooting Melody’s and Heidi’s weddings. -Judd and Josh

Brock + Nicole: 01.01.2012 (The Loft at Studio J)

It was so great Brock and Nicole to have the first ever wedding at The Loft at Studio J! Nicole’s dress was amazing and it was a fun and intimate evening to start off 2012. Josh, Alicia, and Alex captured these images…

Amie and Joseph: 12.10.11 (Key West, Florida)

What fun to spend five fantastic days with an amazing couple: Joe with his Bruce Willis smile (Ryan made the “Moonlighting” reference), and the hi-larious Amie, who juggled her 11-year-old triplets beautifully while planning a wedding week full of wonderful excursions.

From friends to family to snorkeling to scavenger hunts to bar crawls to shark fishing to sunset cruises to drum solos to massive pancakes to Sangria to cigars to stone crabs to interpretive dances to late night hot tubs, this week was just a blissful blur for everyone. On the wedding day, we sauntered for 90 minutes through downtown Key West and just found some amazingly creative spots to create images. Josh drove our electric car (golf cart) with his typical Joshness since I couldn’t figure out the digital clutch…

Our destination was the beautiful Hemingway Home, noted for its 40-50 polydactyl (6-toed) cats. So, we naturally had to get a polydactyl ring shot! Below are some of our favorite images, they are separated into Pre-Wedding Fun, Wedding Day, and Bonus Footage.

Thanks for the incredible memories and first-class hospitality Joe and Amie! It was great to be included with such a fun group of people for a few days, and especially fun to hang with your talented boys: Taylor, Logan, and Carter. Sarah McBruiser, your interpretive dance was just too awesome not to post – hope you forgive us. 🙂

Wedding Day & Trash the Dress:

Pre-Wedding Fun:

Bonus Footage (We weren’t doing video for this wedding, but some things just needed to be recorded on video)!

Amie - December 15, 2011 - 2:47 PM

Love the pictures, Judd and Josh. You were both such fabulous fun that I forgot you weren’t just hanging out with us — you were taking pictures, too. Joe considers this his modeling debut and he’s excited about his new career 🙂

Samantha - December 16, 2011 - 8:10 AM

You two did an AMAZING job on these photos!! Thanks for capturing my sister’s wedding day so elegantly 🙂

Diamond Dave Gonzales - December 19, 2011 - 10:42 AM

Wow!!! Great photos, would there be anyway you could send me a cd/dvd of photos that I could use on our web site. Amy and Joe would be on the famous Hemingway web site and I could give you some photo credit if you require that.
Please let me know if that’s a possibility.
I have never seen anyone shoot an evening wedding so well. I would love to show our potential wedding couples visually that it can be done. Some hesitate at a winter wedding here for lighting reasons.

Great Bass playing too, sorry I did not have all four strings on the bass you played, I have the new set around here somewhere, I promise I’ll get it re-strung in case you want to play in Key West again.

Best Regards, had a BLAST!

Zach + Heidi: 10.15.2011 (Chisago Lakes Luthern Evangelical Church and Scandia Creamery)

Zach (aka Pedro the exotic) and Heidi had an awesome crisp day for a wedding up in the rolling plains of Scandia. The creamery set a record for the number of white lights illuminated at one time and Heidi looked ravishing as always. More to come! -Josh, Mandi, and Judd

Dave + Shannon: 10.14.2011 (St. John Neumann and the Great Hall)

A very blustery day yielded some amazing images because Dave and Shannon were up to the task of taming the crazy hair – well Shannon more than Dave and myself…

The women were troopers and it was interesting walking around downtown St. Paul, jumping into the Library for some shots (we got kicked out), and lugging all our equipment around – thanks Tim and AJ!
The Great Hall was a really cool venue for a reception as well! -Judd, Josh, Mandi, Alicia, and Chris
