Luke + Mackenzie (01.31.2015 – Now Jade Resort, Cancun, Mexico)

So, when you have 107 people come to your destination wedding, you know you are dealing with two very special people! Luke and Mackenzie were the ultimate chill destination wedding hosts. Sprinkle in some deep sea barracuda fishing, plus rough seas where 8/14 of us got sick, plus flash mobs, plus premiere bartenders Darius and Arsenio, plus unusually high toilets, plus Luke overcoming his fear of heights to grab an awesome image, plus groomsmen walking barefoot on gravel, plus an awesome infinity pool, plus multiple Jessicas/Angelas/Sarahs/Mackenzies & Matts, plus lots and lots of pool time and you get a super fun wedding week with beautiful weather in Mexico!

Mackenzie’s dad Scott hit the nail on the head with his top 10 speech like “absence makes the heart grow fonder… if Luke wants to get away for a few days to help out at the cabin, let him!” Great stuff. 🙂 Mackenzie and Luke also had thoughtfully made a care package for everyone that included snacks, Chapstick, Advil, and suntan/burn lotion (even though I had to wear an SPF 1000 shirt on my bald head at one point it was so hot!)

Check out the videos below of the overall week, father/daughter dance, and family flash mob – thanks for the fun week Luke and Mackenzie!! See you soon at the reception! -Judd and Josh (Vulcan/Klingon)

Wedding Photography Timelines!

After 15 years of weddings I would like to offer you my best recommendations for wedding timelines! Adjustments can be made for longer or later ceremonies, travel, multiple locations, less hours, time of year etc. but this is bullet-proof 90% of the time! For spring, winter or late fall wedding we can shift the creative time to before the ceremony for natural light reasons.  -Judd
