Meghan and Justin – June 20, 2008

Let’s play a little game I call “Who was the high school cheerleader?” Answer: check out the far left bridesmaid in the jumping shot – you may have to click to enlarge. Am I right Kayla? This wedding gets the “most spirited dancing” award – I almost sprained my ankle walking across the dance floor during “Cotton-Eyed Joe.” It was like I was walking on a trampoline – remember the game “break the egg” we used to play as kids? We also did a same-day slideshow with some of the wedding shots and it went over really well so we may start doing that more in the future. Groomsmen, I’ll always remember the “fish incident” down by the lift bridge – check out those shots if you get a chance. This year is “the year of the clouds” – we go out to get a sunset shot and I turned around and almost missed those clouds on the backside of the sunset! Unreal. -Judd and Joe

Wow! This album is awesome! I am so happy that we were able to spend Justin and Meg’s special day with you guys. You definately make taking pictures, fun. You are correct about the cheerleading thing. I was a cheerleader every year, starting in the sixth grade. I have to say that your picture taking abilities are amazing! You helped make some great memories that night!
~Kayla

Kayla, that cheerleader pose is the most rock-solid of any wedding yet! You guys were tons of fun – it’s great to shoot weddings with fun wedding parties like Justin and Megan’s. ~Judd

Another 3-wedding weekend! Great weather today – glad it’s not as windy as yesterday – it adversely affected my golf game vs. video guy Joe. Speaking of golf, I love the picture above of Cory and Amoreena with the cool sky at Tartan Park – maybe one of the top 50 pictures I’ve taken but the committee’s still in session. 🙂 Got a good shot of bridesmaid Leslie doing her “inner Michael Jackson” to Billie Jean and then grabbing her boyfriend for Soldier Boy. Cory’s family’s from the South so it was great to hear and feel the southern twang and hospitality; and of course the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The “kiss by the moon” shot was Amoreena’s idea – good call! As for the ’08 wedding awards… “most number of ‘lyrically questionable’ songs requested of the DJ” – sister Becky knows what I’m talking about! 🙂 -Judd and Josh

Allison and Jay – June 14, 2008

Click here to view Allison and Jay’s wedding album – the shopping cart will work to see and purchase all pictures once Jay and Allison have seen them all first and released them. Jay and Allison did this winter ice-skating engagement shoot (in 5 below weather), and now they get a wedding shot with a caterpillar doing a chin-up on Allison’s ring – bet that thing had a couple scratches on it’s belly! Do caterpillars have chins? Jessi and Amanda shot this wedding and rated the wedding party as “one of the most fun ever.”

Holly and Matt – May 31, 2008

We started off the 2008 season with a bang and three weddings! Nothing makes a bride (especially Holly) happier than SEVERE WEATHER during your wedding – the tornado sirens went off just after dinner and we got some GREAT cloud shots. This wedding gets “best clouds” award by far – ever. And then it downpoured for about 10 minutes and we emerged from the bomb shelter and resumed dancing. Kidding about that part… but I love the silhouette shot at Pioneer Park in Stillwater above. I’ve also wanted to do this “album cover” photo of the men jumping without expression – very unique! We’ll post their album pre-design here when it’s ready. -Judd, Amy, Dave, and Sherri
Couldn’t help but add a couple more pictures from the clouds!

And their highlight video!

Betsy and Jesse – May 31, 2008

Amanda and Josh had the pleasure of shooting Betsy and Jesse’s wedding at the scenic Carlson Towers. You should have seen the look on Betsy’s face when the tornado sirens went off DURING the ceremony – made for some cool cloud formations later though! For the annual wedding awards this season, this wedding gets “best dog in a formal portrait” award. How can a biker chick have a dog that small and cute?

Chau gets the “happiest groom” of 2008 – great wit and a romantic too (he sang to Laura for the ceremony). I have a feeling these two will be smiling about 99% of the rest of their lives because they have so much fun together. Mallory and Chad has the pleasure of shooting this wedding. Here’s another clip of the “funniest groom on the planet.” I will vouch that this testimonial was unpaid! 🙂
